How the AI Desktop Pet Works

Your character appears as a transparent overlay on your desktop — like having a virtual companion always by your side:

Requirements

Quick Start: Set Up Your AI Desktop Pet

  1. Install the desktop app — download from Desktop Install guide
  2. Import a Live2D model — see Live2D Getting Started (supports Cubism 3/4/5 models)
  3. Launch Desktop Pet — right-click the system tray icon and select “Show Desktop Pet”

That’s it! Your Live2D character will appear floating on your desktop.

Customize Your Desktop Pet

Right-click the pet character to access controls:

  • Scale — resize from 0.8x to 1.5x to fit your screen
  • Show Monologue — see your agent’s inner thoughts above the character
  • Show Chat — display recent conversation messages near the character
  • Always on Top — keep the pet above all windows
  • Mouse Passthrough — toggle whether clicks pass through the pet
